Georgian almandine garnet, pearl ring

Flat cut almandine garnets surround three rows of perfectly matched seed pearls.   The purplish hue of the almandine garnets next to the white pearls makes this ring especially eye catching.  The setting is 9kt. rose gold.

Dimensions:   US size 8;  top is 1.4 cm by 1.9 cm

Year:  ca. 1820-40;  originally, this was a brooch or pendant and later converted to a ring

Condition:  good,  small chip on one stone (can only be seen with a loupe)
