Victorian Agate seal ring

Heavy 14kt. yellow gold ring containing a finely carved agate intaglio.   The intaglio carving depicts a family crest;  note the arm holding the unfurled  banner.   The color variation of the agate makes this ring quite striking.

Dimensions: finger size is between 4.25 and 4.5;  top is 1.2 cm by 1.6 cm;   click here to convert centimeters to inches

Ring could be sized, if needed.   Total weight is 7.3 grams.

Year:  carved intaglio seal is most likely older than the ring setting.  Carving is ca. 1770-1790 while setting is ca. 1850-70

Condition:  excellent
