Edwardian enamel box

This beautiful enamel box has a bee and a daisy engraved on the bottom and, in German:

“the greatest miracle is love”  (dated March 6, 1939 and signed, Thoms).    How wonderfully romantic!

The sterling silver box (935) is decorated with pale bluish green guilloche enamel.   The top is adorned with a pink rose.   The interior of the hinged box still retains its warm, rich gold gild.

Dimensions:  6 cm in diameter; approx.  2 and 3/8 inches in diameter;  depth is 1.6 cm or approx. 6/8 inch

Condition:  excellent, no damage or restoration;  interior still retains original gold gild;  a few superficial surface scratches on the top

Year:  1920-30′s;  engraving is dated March 6,  1939
