Victorian forget me not pendant/brooch

Early paste and natural amethyst forget me not pendant/brooch.    During the Georgian and early Victorian era,  sentimental jewelry often contained the forget me not motif as they symbolized affection and romantic interest.

This versatile piece can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch.  The detachable brooch top could also be worn with a locket, watch or a different pendant.

European in origin, the setting is silver gilt.  The pendant contains five large paste stones and a tiny seed pearl.  The top contains natural amethysts and one tiny seed pearl.

Dimensions:  1.75 by 2.75 inches;  pendant only is 1 and 1/4 inches by 1 and 1/2 inches

Condition: excellent,  one stone has a surface flaw,  see photo
