Articulated sterling buckle bangle, Victorian
A Victorian token of love; the buckle motif symbolized the union of 2 people and their eternal love. They fit together like a buckle and a belt!
This sterling buckle bangle has an ingenious opening/closure mechanism. Just under the tongue of the belt are two round balls which fit tightly into recessed openings. The bangle opens by pulling up on the end of the belt and then snaps firmly shut.
