Victorian silver bangle, clasped hands
One of a kind silver bangle designed to celebrate 25 years of marriage. Dated 2 June 1840 1865; each hand wears a yellow gold wedding band. In the palm of one hand the name “Anna” is inscribed; in the palm of the other hand, the name of the husband, Friedrich, is inscribed.
Exceptional quality and detail. Note the hidden hinge at the back; the detail on the cuffs and hands and the beautiful repousse work around the outside of the bangle.
Dimensions: width across hands is 1.5 cm or approx. 2/3 inch; interior dimensions are 5 cm high and 5.7 cm wide, oval bangle will comfortably fit a wrist from 6 to 7.5 inches in diameter
Condition: pristine and in original fitted case; bangle is solid silver (800 silver). Safety chain can be unhooked so that the bangle fits easily over the hand.
