Georgian diamond, turquoise double heart brooch

A Georgian gift of love;  two entwined hearts, set with rose cut diamonds and turquoise.   The two hearts are joined at the top by a bow.  This brooch was most likely presented to the bride to be as a token of love and affection from her future husband.

The pearl  in the center of the bow represents pure love; turquoise symbolized remembrance.

The setting is silver and rose gold, with silver used on the front to enhance the clarity of the diamonds and gold used on the back to prevent tarnish from getting on clothing.
