Rare Victorian micro mosaic brooch, dog and anchor

Rare and desirable Victorian micro-mosaic in a nice large size.    This brooch could have been created as a mourning piece.  A faithful dog leans against what appears to be a gray headstone while sitting next to an anchor.  The anchor was used by Victorians to symbolize hope and resurrection in the afterlife.

The artistry and quality is superb.  The micro mosaic brooch has a high karat yellow gold setting.

Note: This extraordinary piece will only be available for sale until December 15th.
