French 18kt. rose gold locket

Substantial 18kt. gold locket accented with turquoise and pearls.   On the back of the pendant is a hinged locket compartment.   Primarily a very rosy gold in color,  the front center panel is slightly yellow in color; which makes this piece especially eye catching.

The front of the locket features a forget-me-not with petals made from Persian turquoise surrounding a creamy white pearl.  Amongst the scroll work are 4 seed pearls.

This fine quality locket is French in origin and has French 18kt. gold marks.    (Chain not included).

Dimensions:  3.2 cm by 5.5 cm or approximately 1 and 1/3 inches by 2 and 1/4 inches, with pendant loop.   Without pendant loop:  3.2 cm by 4.1 cm

Year:  1860-80

Condition:  excellent,  a few tiny dents on the back.   Front and sides are in pristine condition.  Original bezel and glass inside.
