Gold and Silver Dog Fob, Victorian

Unusual French dog fob with a carnelian base.  The fob has fine detail and is sterling silver with gold gild accents (known as vermeil).

The eyes are gold gild, as is the collar and the base.   Attached to the fob is the original split ring so that this can be worn as a pendant or a charm.

Dimensions:  approx. 6/8 inch tall (1.7 cm); base is approximately 1/2 inch by 6/8 inch or 1.2 cm by 1.4 cm

Condition:   excellent;  tiny chip on bottom rim of carnelian;  not visible with naked eye
