Long niello and rose gold chain

Niello and rose gold chains are so versatile; they work with silver or rose gold.   This watch chain has a nice swivel clasp and was most likely created in France.   The finest Niello work was done in Russia and France, however, the technique was developed by the ancient Egyptians.

Niello is a black metallic alloy of sulfur, copper, silver, and usually lead, used as an inlay on engraved metal. It is used for filling in designs engraved, or cut, into metal, usually silver.
