Victorian garnet necklace

This dramatic Victorian necklace (ca. 1860-80) is comprised of hundreds of rose cut garnets. The focal point of the necklace is a large, beautiful pendant.   The pendant is detachable, making the necklace quite versatile.   Here is an example of the necklace with a garnet cross, (cross sold separately).

The setting is a low karat rose gold (generally 8kt. and called garnet gold).

The pendant was designed so that it could also be worn as a brooch .

Condition is excellent;  pin stem missing.  Should you wish to have the ability to wear this as a brooch, I would be happy to get a pin stem put on.
