Victorian Mizpah buckle ring

Unusual Victorian ring with two classic symbols of unending love.

The buckle motif symbolized unity (meaning, the couple fit together like a buckle and a belt) and the word Mizpah symbolizes the unbreakable bond between two people who are separated, even if by death.   The word and symbolism is from Genesis 31:49:   “And Mizpah; for he said, The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.”

This sweet love token is sterling silver with a heavy yellow gold gild.
